NewLife Horizon House, Inc. is lead by an experienced team of individuals who not only excel professionally at what they do, but are also caring and committed to the well-being of every youth, family and community we serve.

Chief Executive Officer/Director – Dr. Baiza R. Muhammad

NewLife Horizon House, Inc. was founded by Dr. Baiza Muhammad in 2007.  All natural healers know that the law of nature embodies the whole of creation, and natural healing draws upon the work of the mental, physical and spiritual human being to achieve magical outcomes that align with the chairtable law of  "giving forward."  

Baiza has infused in her life-time over 40-years experience in Natural Health and holistic healing.  Her introduction to the world of natural healing came under the deceased, legendary N.D. to the Stars, Dr. Alvenia Fulton (best known for her influence in the life of Activist Dick Gregory).  Baiza’s  academic background includes an A.A. in Child Psychology & General Studies, Kennedy-King College, Chicago, Illinois, and Honors from Pima Community College, Tucson, Arizona; B.A. in general psychology and an M.A. Cross-Cultural Counseling Psychology  from Prescott College in Prescott, Arizona.  She attended The Union Institute & University, Ohio, doing PhD studies in Peace and Conflict Resolution.  Baiza pursues ongoing education at The Clayton College of Natural Health, Birmingham Alabama, as an N.D. (Naturopathic Doctor) and PhD (Doctor of Nutritional Health) and she is a Vegetarian, Vegan and Living (Raw) Foods chef and holds a Certificate from the University of Arizona, College of Agriculture expanded food & Nutrition Program.  Dr. Muhammad has 50-years experience in community development, and retail business creation and operation and in forming, directing and serving non-profits as a chair person, fund raiser, evaluator, and as a leader serving youth and families in deprived committees.  Dr. Muhammad is an Author, lecturer, educator and former radio and television host. She is a Registered Certified Neutral (RCN) for the Supreme Court of Georgia through the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.  She has also been certified with the Arizona State Attorney General’s Office to mediate civil rights, registra of contracts, juvenile custody, and victim offender cases, and served as a Cultural Competence Trainer.  Baiza also served as a People Links Trainer of Trainers for Arizona State University and is presently an Ambassador for Peace with the World Federation for Peace.  Her awards are numerous and diverse as her experience including the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Award from the University of Arizona; Who’s Who among African American Students, Woman of the Year Atlanta Black Clergy/Victory Over Violence Atlanta, GA; Crown of Peace, World Federation of Peace, 2006 Icon Award, Northwest Multipurpose Neighbor Center.  Tucson Arizona.   Baiza was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.  She has three daughters, a son and, at this time eight grand children.

Chief Financial Officer—Frieda M. Smith

Frieda is owner, co-founder and executive Director of FDA Tax & Financial Services.  She has over 30-years experience and has worked for the Department of Treasurer (IRS) for 18 years where she was rated outstanding or distinguished every year of her career, and Frieda is an enrolled agent which allows her to represent tax payers, internationally, before the Internal Revenue Service.  Frieda Holds a B.S. in Education, and a M.P.A. in Public Administration.  She is a Trainer of Trainers, program developer, educational and business consultant, and serves as a financial advisor to a multitude of companies, organizations and individuals in areas of individual and corporate/partnership returns, monthly/quarterly accounting, bank reconciliation, sales tax preparation, total payroll service, small business setup government workforce programs, articles of incorporation, and income tax training.   Frieda is also the Director of FDA-Bridging the Gap, a community based organization that provides a means to obtain affordable food, focusing on Senior Citizens and underprivileged children.  She also provides FREE tax preparation to seniors 65+ or persons receiving only Social Security income.

Chief Administrative Officer-- Sandra Gentry

Sandra has been an administrator for over 30 years in some of the top Fortune 500 companies. She has broad experience working in diverse business environments that demand strong organizational, technical and interpersonal skills; such business sectors as semiconductor, pharmaceutical, medical, insurance and Wall Street.  With her strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to customer service she created and managed a Call Center to serve as the vocal point within the company.  Among her significant positions, Sandra has held such titles as Call Center Manager, Customer Service Manager, Administrative Supervisor, Office Administrator, Senior Administrator and many others. 

Sandra has a wealth of knowledge in many computer software programs.  She has created training books and held numerous onsite training classes within an organization.  She is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect, Microsoft Access, etc.  Sandra serves as Treasurer at her church and is a mother of two and grandmother of two.  She attended Long Beach State College (California) studying in the field of business administration. 

 

Integrated Clinical Support Affiliate

My name is Dawnmarie Nation. I'm a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the last 13 years.  I have been on my own journey to obtain better health for the last 15 years.  I decided 4 years ago to incorporate natural health into my practice. I currently practice integrative medicine with children and their families. I am also enrolled in Clayton College of Natural Health.  I believe each person must take personal responsibility for their health and their children's health. I am simply a facilitator here to help you achieve the best health you and your family expect to have.  My academic background is extensive:  B.S. and M.S. in Nursing, Emory University Atlanta, Georgia. Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program, Emory University;  Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner: Emory’s Youth Health Station—Griffin Pediatric Clinic, Dekalb-Grady Neighborhood Clinic; Specialty care experience: Asthma/Allergy,  with Dr. Keith Phillips at Egelston Rainbow Clinic; Registered Nurse: Maternal & Newborn; Circulating Nurse—Podiatry Medicine; Registered Nurse Postpartum/Newborn—Crawford  W. Long Hospital; Medical Specialist—rank: Corpal/ U.S. Army; Pediatrics Plus, Orlando, FL; Decatur Pediatric Group, Decatur, GA.  Awards include the Atlanta Immunization Project, Trans-cultural International Nursing Task Force, and Emory’s nursing honor house coordinator —Emory University; Nursing Christian Fellowship Leader Program; United States Army Achievement, Commendation, and the Good Conduct Medal.  I currently practice at Children First Pediatrics, in Fayetteville GA, with Dr. Valarie Wright Manley.
